The Shas-a-thon is no ordinary gathering — it’s a spiritual marathon. In just one day, participants come together to collectively learn the entire Talmud, dedicating the merit to couples struggling with infertility. Our task was to capture not only the scope of the event, but the deep emotion and meaning behind it.
From the very start, our cameras followed the rhythm of the day — the quiet focus of study, the hum of voices rising in unison, and the moments of encouragement shared between participants. We paired sweeping, cinematic visuals with intimate, heartfelt details, creating a film that feels as monumental as the event itself.
The result is more than an event film. It’s an emotional journey — one that allows viewers to not only see the Shas-a-thon but to feel the devotion, hope, and faith at its core.
It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
